you're so cute.

"Nerds like us, are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff. Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like, jump-up-and-down-in-your-chair-can't-control-yourself love it. When people call people nerds, mostly what they're saying is 'You like stuff.' Which is not a good insult at all. Like, 'You are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness.'"

…so, Trent transferred from McKinley before Kurt did, huh?

I bet Trent got crap every day at McKinley, just like Kurt did. Only Trent didn’t have friends in the glee club to make it semi-bearable. He remembers Kurt, though. He always kinda wanted to join glee club but Rachel Berry terrified him, as did Noah Puckerman, and he noticed that the glee club got even more crap than the rest of the kids from the jocks and the bullies, so he never joined.
He was lonely and miserable, and then he came to Dalton and found friends and a place that would allow him to be himself and do what he loved. He practically hero-worships Blaine because Blaine was the first person to talk to him and encourage him to join the Warblers. Unlike Kurt, he had no reason to miss McKinley, and unlike the rest of the Warblers, he knows exactly what McKinley is really like, so he doesn’t understand how Kurt could willingly go back there, and how Blaine could leave the Warblers to go there as well.
